Eric
Bauer was born in France in 1965 and has been living in
Bolivia since 1989, where he found his passion for photography.
He started taking still-life photos in 1991 and has held
different exhibitions and sold photos from his files.
In 2000 Eric started working for the weekly political
magazine PULSO, and in 2001 for the cultural magazine
ESCAPE. He works putting together image banks for international
institutions and companies and is most interested in social
and cultural topics for his artwork.
In 2005 his photographs were included in a book published
by UNESCO on cultural heritage sites in South America.
Eric has done reports on issues such as: blindness, homosexuality,
the elderly and various ethnic topics. He has travelled
around Bolivia capturing the magic of its people and places
forever on film.
He has taken part twice in the international photography
festival FOTOENCUENTRO and in 1992 won first prize for
photography from the SECRETARY FOR CULTURE in the city
of La Paz. |
