Menonnite
The Mennonite religion sprang up in 1536 in Holland and was founded by the Catholic priest, Menno Simons. The Mennonites are characterized by their commitment to non-violence and pacifism. The Mennonites have travelled from country to country looking for a place to settle and 50 years ago moved to the Santa Cruz region where they grow soya and wheat and make cheese. |
